IIT Bombay Since the Academic year 2004-2005, IIT Bombay has been conducting the Basic French Communication Course for the benefit of the students and staff of IIT Bombay. The Japanese language course began from the Spring semester of the Academic year 2009-10. The German language course started from the Academic year 2010-11. The Chinese language course was started from the Academic year 2011-12. We are grateful to the Embassy of France in New Delhi, Consulate of France in Mumbai, Koo International Co. Ltd., Japan, DAAD office and Beijing Jiaotong University, China, who have been extending their support in identifying and sending a teacher from France, Japan, Germany and China respectively to IITB to teach these classes.
